Slovak singer and songwriter Jana Kirschner, one of the most distinctive voices on the Central European music scene, will perform as part of the When Music Answers series in a special acoustic set without drums. Accompanied by keyboards, guitar, and vocals, she will present an intimate cross-section of her work, from the breakthrough album V cudzom meste to the present day.
Her songs have long been rooted in personal, introspective storytelling and a sensitive perception of the world around us. Here, responsibility is not a grand gesture but a commitment to one’s own voice. The chamber format of the concert allows the lyrics, emotions, and the silence between them to stand out.
Proceeds from ticket sales will support the Pianos to Schools project of the Karel Komárek Family Foundation, specifically its scholarship programs for young talents.
