Artium to host Prague Art Week

The festival, whose mission is not only to raise the profile of visual art in Prague but also to strengthen collaboration across the local art scene, transforms the capital into an open gallery for four days — and we definitely wanted to be part of it.

Together with 41 other leading art institutions, we look forward to welcoming the public from September 24–27. We will present our current exhibition Love, the first joint artistic project by Alessandra Svatek and Matěj Hrbek, as well as Nest, a sculpture by Spanish artist Jaume Plensa and the first permanent public art installation by an international artist in Prague since the Velvet Revolution. Visitors can also look forward to a guided tour on the opening day of the festival, September 24 at 4:00 p.m., with artist Matěj Hrbek in attendance.

It is an honor to join the National Gallery Prague, Prague City Gallery, DOX Centre for Contemporary Art, Kunsthalle Praha, and many other exhibition spaces, and to place Artium by KKCG firmly on Prague’s cultural map through our participation in Prague Art Week.
